cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 pkg. (18.25oz) yellow cake mix with pudding mix
3
large eggs
1/3 cup vegetable or canola oil
½
teaspoon pure vanilla extract
¾ cup water, divided
½
cup butter (one stick)
1 cup granulated sugar

1/3 cups FOURSQUARE SPICED RUM,
divided

Preheat
oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour 10 inch tube cake pan or 12 cup
fluted cake pan.

Sprinkle
pecans evenly in bottom of pan.
3.
In
large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, vanilla extract, ½ cup
water and 1 cup FOURSQUARE SPICED RUM.
4.
With
electric mixer, combine all ingredients. On medium speed, beat 2
minutes.
5.
Pour
batter evenly over pecans.
6.
Bake
one hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from oven.
7.
Cook
cake 10-15 minutes on cooling rack.
8.
Invert
cake on serving plate.
9.
In
saucepan, melt butter. Stir in sugar and remaining ¼ cup water. Bring
to boil. Continue boiling, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
10.
Remove butter mixture from heat and stir in remaining 1/3
cup FOURSQUARE SPICED RUM.
11.
With fork, prick sides and
top of cake and brush glaze over entire surface of cake until all glaze
is completely absorbed.
12.
Serve 12 – 14.
